JOSHUA SCOTT WAYNE
"living in the shadows of this world"
Name: Joshua Wayne
Nickname: Josh, Batboy(his codename)
Age: sixteen --- 16
Gender: male
Hair color: black with streaks of red in it
Eye color: brown
Skin color: a bit on the pale side
"who can we truly trust?"
Sexual Orientation: straight (dating Order of Fate member: Ishi Daggle)
Religion: Christian (like most of my characters)
Species: 100% human
"I am the bat that haunts your every waking moment"
Group: good; one of the four leaders of the Order of Fate and one of the members that are representing the newest generation of the team Young Justice
Abilities: Josh, being the son of two “normal” humans (Batman and Cat-Woman), has no super-powers but the teenager is skilled in hand to hand combat. He has also trained for many years and has almost mastered almost every weapon of his dad’s, which he modified. He is kind of smarter than most kids his age, since he does modify all his dad’s weapons, but often requires the help of his friends Brainiac 6 and 6.5. He was trained in martial arts and hand to hand combat by both of his parents.
Roleplay example:
takes place in Josh's past
Josh walked down the long stairway of the Wayne Mansion. He stopped at the end of the stairs and watched his father, Bruce, who was putting a jacket on. Another meeting. Another day he would spend away from his family. Unlike Collin, Josh wasn’t really allowed to go outside unless he was either with his sister or his father or some sort of police escort. It killed Josh. He wanted to be able to go outside and hang out with his friends. Thankfully, half the time Travis stayed with him, but he had recently sent both Travis and Collin to Jump City to fight off Rider’s Deck. His mother was already at some sort of fundraiser. Bruce seemed to feel Josh’s eyes on him. He turned around and smiled at his son. It had been awhile since the two had seen each other. Bruce still thought Josh was clueless and didn’t know his father had been Batman. Josh, on the other hand, thought his father didn’t suspect him of possibly being Batboy. Both were wrong, but neither were willing to prove it.
”I’ll be back tonight, Josh,” Bruce stated as Josh looked around, uncomfortably. It had been awhile since he had heard his father’s voice, let alone heard it say his name. His mind flashed back to when he would play with his father, before he had gotten kidnapped. Now, his family were so paranoid and worried. They were willing to let Collin go off to Jump City without any real reason yet he had to have a reason for just going to the back porch. It was stupid and Josh found it not needed. He couldn’t prove that, though, unless he chose to reveal himself as the leader of Young Justice. He wouldn’t do that, so he was stuck with an overprotective family. He folded his arms across his chest and leaned against the railing of the stairs.
”Can I come? With you?” he asked as he saw his father’s eyebrows go up slightly. He did in fact want to spend time with his father, he just hadn’t found the right time. ”I mean hasn’t it been awhile since we’ve um...spent some time together?” To Josh’s relief, his father didn’t protest. He just tossed him his jacket. The teen pulled the jacket on and ran over to his father, who warned him the meeting would be boring. At the moment, Josh didn’t think much of it but his father had been right. The brown-haired boy sat there, in the meeting room, as his father talked about some sort of company thing. To Josh it just sounded like “blah blah blah”. He was bored out of his mind. A small part of him wished some super-villain or even just an ordinary villain would try to pull something and give him an excuse to leave, but of course nothing happened. He was stuck there. Why had he even wanted to go in the first place? Oh yeah, to spend time with his dad. They were spending time together, alright, but not quality time. The teenager had even planned on telling Bruce about his secret life as a hero, but with all the board members of Wayne Industry there he couldn’t. It was private. Course he had known his father was heading to a meeting, so he should have expected no one on one time. He looked over at his father, who was using a holographic machine the company had bought to show some statistics. Josh remembered the insides and outsides of that machine very well. He had recently borrowed one from his father, secretly of course, and had Brainiac 6 and 6.5 copy it and make another, this time with improvements. He wanted to share the improvements with his dad, but the last thing he needed was everyone being able to get their hands on Young Justice technology.
Josh slowly rose to his feet. His father’s eyes instantly went on him. He pointed to the door and mouthed “bathroom.” Bruce nodded as Josh left the room. Once out, the teenager sighed in relief. He hated having to sit still. That was one of the reasons why he didn’t enjoy going to church. He had to sit still for so long. It killed him, figuratively of course. He sat down and talked with the security guard until the meeting was finally over and his father came down, looking for him. Bruce put his hand on Josh’s shoulder. The young boy had fallen asleep on the desk, listening to the security guard’s radio. Bruce couldn’t help but smile and run his fingers through his son’s hair, remembering when the boy had been so young. Back then, it had been hard for him to get Josh to leave his side for even a second...now it was hard for him to get his son to leave his room. The teen never even came down for dinner. Bruce had made it his job to bring Josh his food, but whenever he had gone up to the boy’s room, he had found his son asleep, leaning in the corner of the room in the pitch black darkness. To say it worried him would be an understatement. The guard looked over at Bruce and asked if he was going to wake the boy. Bruce shook his head and replied "Nah, I’ll just carry him to the car. He’d never forgive me if he found out, so I would prefer he stay asleep.” He picked Josh up in his arms and lay him down in the limo. He caressed the boy’s cheek. "Following in my footsteps... not sure if I should be proud or worried... course you seem to be doing fine...”
